The ACOFP 58th Annual Convention & Scientific Seminars, taking place virtually March 11–14, offers a robust program of continuing medical education that is personalized just for you. Whether you are a resident, new to the family medicine practice profession or have been helping patience for years, ACOFP ’21 Virtual is for you.
This year’s programming will feature key tracks helpful to those practicing in a variety of clinical locations—including in-patient, outpatient and emergent care procedures—and a wide variety of evidence-based topics, from hypertension, cardiovascular disease, COPD and diabetes to HIV, HCV and immunizations. Attendees will have access to over 30 CME hours and multiple tracks to choose from that can be watched in real time or accessed on-demand—all for AOA Category 1-A CME credit.
There are several compelling topics slated this year, including Social Determinants of Health Panel, Mountain Medicine: Off the Grid, Updates on COVID-19, Breaking Down Barriers to Providing Care to the LGBTQI Patient Population and Status-Neutral HIV Prevention: Tips and Tools for the Family Physician. Plus, several OMT modules will be offered with case-based incorporation of osteopathic principles and practices, along with virtual hands-on demonstrations. Beginner and advanced OMT modules, as well as OMT billing and coding, will be presented.
ACOFP‘s new virtual platform will allow for multiple CME tracks, panel discussion and breakout rooms, and procedural workshops. You can also see the latest and greatest solutions from corporate partners and have opportunities to network with your colleagues.
It’s now more important than ever to stay connected with the latest trends and research in osteopathic family medicine—and to your ACOFP family. When it comes to educational programming and getting your CME, we know you have a lot of options. I hope you will join me; the program committee, who has put together a stellar lineup of programming; ACOFP leadership; and more than 800 physicians, residents and student who have already registered for this year’s event.
ACOFP is a community of current and future family physicians that champions osteopathic principles and supports its members by providing resources such as education, networking and advocacy, while putting patients first.
